Terrible news comes from AC/DC as confirmation of Malcolm Young’s dementia is released.
The band had previously said that Young would not be part of the new record without a solid reason. Naturally there was a backlash from fans wanting to know a definite answer to explain his absence along with rumours of why. Taking his place on the album and tour (both rumoured to be the final acts) will be nephew Stevie Young.
Young’s family gave a rather blunt statement to People Magazine saying:
“Malcolm is suffering from dementia and the family thanks you for respecting their privacy.”
This news is by far the darkest I’ve posted so far as a rock legend fights a losing battle. Last week the Syndey Morning Herald quoted a direct source:
“If you were in the room with him and walked out, then came back in one minute later, he wouldn’t remember who you are. He has a complete loss of short-term memory.”
Malcolm Young, We Salute You.
As always, stay heavy.
