Metal fan’s EXODUS lyric post seen as “terrorist threats”

We all know that metal fans can be a bit scary and you’d likely avoid sitting next to us on a bus and we love when this stereotype gets justice in the end.

Recently, 31 year old James Evans from Kentucky posted a segment of EXODUS lyrics from “Class Dismissed (A Hate Primer)” saying;

“Student bodies lying dead in the halls, a blood splattered treatise of hate. Class dismissed is my hypothesis, gun fire ends in debate.”

Sadly for dearest James, Kentucky officials took this post a bit too literal and proceeded to arrest him on the basis it was “terrorist threats”. Evans spent a full 8 days in jail before as he couldn’t afford the bail and was due in court over the matter.

Not so sadly for dearest James, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) managed to get a hold of the situation and sooner rather than later, ACLU attorney Bill Sharp got involved and the case was dismissed shortly after.

I can’t help but think there’s still a little justice left to be had against these officials. Granted the gun safety in schools is strict and a touchy issue in America, but not giving someone the chance to defend themselves against some jumped-up charges is unfair. Not to mention the detrimental ripples in life if you have anything dubbed as “terrorist” against your name.

I can imagine some discretion will be had from dearest James in future when it comes to posting lines that he rocks his shit out to.
